Privacy Policy for My Routines app

My Routines ("the App") is a geolocation-based exercise routine app. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App handles, how it is used, and your choices.

• The App does not include third-party analytics or crash reporting SDKs.
• Routine files are only shared when you choose to import or share/export them.

Information We Process

The App may process the following categories of information:

1. Routine content you create or import
   • Examples: routine names, step names, timed durations, and milestone GPS coordinates.
   • Purpose: saving, editing, displaying, and executing your routines.
2. Device location data
   • Examples: current latitude/longitude while a routine is running.
   • Purpose: determining when milestone (GPS-triggered) steps are reached.
3. Basic app settings
   • Example: your selected milestone radius setting.
   • Purpose: personalize and operate routine execution behavior.

How We Use Information

We use information only to provide app functionality, including:

• Storing and loading routines on your device.
• Executing timed and location-based steps.
• Announcing routine steps via on-device text-to-speech.
• Allowing you to import routines from files you select.
• Allowing you to export/share routines when you initiate sharing.

Permissions

Routine requests Android permissions to support core features:

• Fine and coarse location: needed for milestone step detection.
• Background location: allows milestone tracking while routine execution continues in the foreground service and app is not open.
• Foreground service and foreground service location: keeps routine execution active and visible via notification.
• Notifications: shows active routine status while running.

You can revoke permissions at any time in Android Settings, but related features may stop working.

Data Storage and Transfers

• Local storage: routine data is stored in a local on-device database.
• Temporary share files: when you share a routine, the App creates a temporary JSON file in app cache and shares it through Android's secure FileProvider mechanism.
• No routine cloud backend: routine data is not uploaded by the App to a dedicated remote server.

Important: if you choose to share a routine file with another app/service, that destination handles data according to its own privacy practices.

Third-Party Services

The App uses platform and Google Play Services components required for location functionality (for example, Fused Location Provider). Their processing is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

The App does not include:

• Third-party advertising SDKs
• Third-party analytics SDKs
• Third-party crash reporting SDKs

Data Retention and Deletion

• Routines and settings remain on your device until you delete them or uninstall the App.
• Shared routine files in cache may persist temporarily until removed by the system or replaced by newer files.

You can delete routine data inside the App using the available delete actions.

Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Security

We use standard Android app mechanisms (sandboxed app storage, permission model, and FileProvider for sharing) to protect data handled by the App. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure.

International Users

Because the App primarily stores and processes data on your device, your data handling location generally depends on your device and any third-party services you choose to use (for example, apps you share files to).

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If updated, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page.
